Kerala is one of the most densely populated areas of India. Yet this state in the southern portion of the country enjoys a 91 percent literacy rate, excellent health care and the highest life expectancy and lowest infant mortality rate in India. It’s also blessed with natural tropical beauty.The exhibition Interesting Faces, Colorful Wings opens in Fawick Gallery on June 16. It presents images taken in this populous area by two photographers who are also good friends: native Keralan Dr. Unni Krishnan Pulikkal and Clevelander Herbert Ascherman, Jr.
